Let me try to shed some light on this. I thought this topic would be interesting
because I myself was total in the dark on this so we will learn together.

What is an Instagram Name Tag
Name Tags are similar to WhatsApp web code, or facebook messenger code.
Name tags allow the user to scan your code and very quickly get the option to eitherview your profile or add you. It is a quick fix to an age-old problem.
Remember when you had to remember your exact Instagram name and
then there was an issue with spelling Sydney vs Sidney...OMG

How do you Scan A Name Tag
1. Use Instagram Name Tag Camera
Go to your Instagram account and click on the top right-hand corner where the
three lines are. Then go to name tag, look down to scan a name tag and there you
have it. You can now point the phone to a name tag on the computer or other device and when it comes into focus it will automatically scan the name tag.

2. Screen Shot Option
There is another way to do this also. Because let's face it you are most often on
your phone, I know I am. While you are on one of those browsing sprees on your
phone, you come across a name tag of someone that you want to check out their
profile. Take a screenshot of the name tag. Then at the top right-hand corner,
you would notice that there is the photo option, click on it and select the screenshot
of the name tag you have taken. Follow or add

3. Using the Instagram Camera
Open your Instagram stories camera, tap and hold when you are ready to scan
a name tag.

Changing the looks of your Name Tag
There are three ways to change your background Colours, Emoji or Selfie.
Go to the three lines again at the top right-hand corner of your Instagram Account and go to name tag where you can select colour or emoji or selfie just by clicking
on the names. When you click on the names the option changes.

You can print a picture of your Instagram name tag on the back of your business card or flyer and any of your marketing material. How you use this tool is left to your imagination. I have shared it on my social media platforms - Facebook, Linkedin, Instagram
Point to note:
When changing your name tag background, keep in mind your brand, if you noticed that my final name tag background is an emoji with a woman at a computer- reference my work is done on a computer remotely😉
